We open with a flashback of the prison before going to Rick, who is alone, and covered in blood.
Before that, Rick, Michonne, and Carl are still on their way to Terminus when they hear someone screaming for help. Carl runs off to help, but Rick and Michonne hold him back as the walkers eat the guy. Back in the flashback, Herschel wakes Rick for some help, but then we go back to the present. In the present, the group comes across a car where they set up camp for the night until they get ambushed by the pack Daryl is with. Joe, the group leader, starts a countdown to kill Michonne and Rick, but Daryl comes out to stop it. He tells them that if they want blood then to take him instead and they do, but they don't kill him. The battle finally takes a turn for Team Prison when Rick kills Joe by taking a bite out of his neck, they then kill the rest of Joe's group.
Over in the flashback, we find out Herschel woke Rick to tell him that they could domesticate the feral pigs who, if memory serves correct, end up getting sick. Back in present time, Rick and Daryl talk while Michonne tends to Carl, who is a bit scarred after seeing what his dad did. The group then gets back on the road to Terminus, when they get close they head into the woods to find a back way, incase Terminus isn't a sanctuary. Did you see what I did there? The group then breaks up with Carl going with Michonne and Daryl with Rick. As they are looking for a safe way in, Michonne and Carl have a heart to heart where Carl tells her that he thinks he is a monster like his dad. They find a safe way in and take the people by surprise, they come across Gareth and Alex first, and after being checked over are welcomed to Terminus. Alex shows them around and then takes them to Mary to get some food.
Rick sees Herschel's pocket watch, that he gave to Glenn, in Alex's pocket and some riot gear. Oh man they are the hunter's, aren't they? Rick takes Alex hostage and asks where he got the watch and riot gear from, they say they got it from some dead people, and the war begins. The group takes off trying to find a way out, but get surrounded, and in the background we can hear people screaming, presumably Team Prison 2. Since they are surrounded, they are forced to surrender their weapons and board a cargo train. On the train they are reunited with Glenn, Maggie, Sasha, and Bob, plus Abraham, Rosita, Tara, and Eugene. The episode ends with Rick telling the newly formed group that the people of Terminus are messing with the wrong people.
