Always Watching: A Marble Hornets Story (2015)

You shouldn't have looked

Fan of the Marble Hornets Youtube series?  Sad that it ended last year?  Have no fear Anchor Bay and Gravitas Ventures are bringing James Moran's found footage film based on the series to your screens!  The movie stars Doug Jones (Hellboy, BTVS),  Alexandra Breckenridge (American Horror Story,  The Walking Dead), Chris Marquette (Freddy vs. Jason) and Jake McDorman (American Sniper).

Always Watching follows a news team investigating a story when they find a box of tapes.  Upon viewing they discover a faceless man in a suit (The Operator) terrorizing a family. After watching some of their own videos they find that he is now in their tapes. They group decides to track down the family and on the way uncover some unsettling tapes.

The movie turned out better than I expected considering it stars none of the characters from the original series. Continuity wise  it is slightly different from the series.  However there are a few easter eggs from the series if you look carefully. Overall I really enjoyed the movie and thought it had a decent ending that could easily set up sequels if wanted.  Tell me what you thought of the movie below and if you caught any of the easter eggs.

Have a good night!

Always Watching: A Marble Hornets Story is coming to DVD on August 4th! Pre-order now!

  1. Dear Horror Blogger
We worked the sound on a few horror trailers this year ..
Dark Tower, IT, new BFI cut of Silence of the lambs.. + a few more 47 meters down etc
and we wanted to make a horror sound pack for as we were very inspired. so we made one for free.
    This horror themed sound collection

we don't really have experience with distributing sounds to the general public.. as we have never sold them to the public..
so we wanted to share these for free..
we were hoping you would be able to share them on your amazing Facebook / blog .social pages.
    for the community.
we made a small promo film to go with it ..
hope it darkly resonates with you
    best wishes
    Andrew
