We open at night with Beth and Daryl who are trying to find a car, they do, but it doesn't start. A horde of walkers then approaches and they take cover in the trunk until morning. The next morning they take off again, but Beth starts feeling rebellious and wants some liquor, so they go off in search of some. They find a building the has a lot of dead people in it, and walkers hanging from nooses. After searching around for a bit, finding some new clothes, and killing a few walkers, they finally find the liquor. Once Beth has the liquor, she can't seem to take a sip and has a bit of a breakdown, Daryl kind of comforts her and they leave. They then come across a house where Daryl finds moonshine, and Beth finally take her first sip of alcohol, which she thinks is disgusting, but goes for a 2nd round.
Beth proposes they play a drinking game, she ends up pissing Daryl off and we learn a bit more about what his childhood was like. Daryl starts making loud noise, which lures walkers, and he heads outside with Beth on his heels, he kills the walkers and him and Beth get into a fight. Daryl tells her that everyone they know is probably dead and he now has the breakdown, Beth hugs him as he cries. Later that night, Daryl an Beth talk about their families, what they hoped for in life, and how none of it happened. The episode ends with them emptying all of the bottles of moonshine in the house and setting the house on fire.
